The HIBRI2 project wants to contribute to the promotion of efficient use and development of renewable energies in Cuba through the design and implementation of innovative systems based on the hybridization of different technologies. The sources considered in this project are biomass, solar and wind.

HIBRI2 has a previous antecedent in the HYBRIDUS project (http://projects.ciemat.es/web/hybridus), in which the development possibilities of hybrid biomass-solar systems for the supply of isolated communities in Cuba were analysed in depth.

Both projects have been funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) through its call for innovation actions.
